WASHINGTON -- The Center for American Music Opportunities (CAMMO) is partnering with Hinton Battles’ “Love Lies” Tour to showcase the talent of American military service members around the country beginning April 2 at the Warner Theater in Washington, D.C. The tour is slated to have eight tour dates.

CAMMO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission of providing  music therapy to wounded service members and veterans, as well as providing career opportunities to service members in the music industry.

As part of CAMMO’s partnership with the “Love Lies” tour, active-duty service members will have performances during the show stops as part of Thursday-night military nights. These nights will showcase choir performances consisting of troops from military installations nearby the production’s tour dates.

CAMMO’s co-founder and director, Cathie Lechareas says this partnership is another opportunity to show the public the talent hidden within our military services and how music can heal the traumas of war.

“We are so happy to partner with Hinton and the cast and crew of ‘Love Lies’. This partnership not only allows for greater awareness of the CAMMO mission, but also provides a source of talent, I feel, will add something special to the military nights of the tour dates,” she said.

The production has set up special pricing for military with a percentage revenue from every ticket being purchased at the military prices going directly to CAMMO.

“Love Lies” features an all-star cast including, Brian McNight and Angie Stone.
