Shar Jackson actress, singer, producer and DJ was born on August 31 in Boston,

Massachusetts. Jackson is of African American and Cherokee descent on her mother’s side, and

of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent on her father’s side. Shar Jackson has been acting since

the age of three when she enrolled in the Al Fann Theatrical Ensemble. While she

attended private school, Jackson began modeling with the Ubiquitous, John Robert Powers

and Barbizon agencies. Concurrently, she studied acting with Bob Feldman (father of actor

Corey Feldman) and at age 11 decided to focus solely on acting.

Through the Al Fann Theatrical Ensemble, she was quickly cast in several national

commercials and landed guest-starring roles on such series as Roc, My So-Called Life,

Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper and The Steve Harvey Show. In addition to her many credits she

starred on the ABC reality series The Ex Wives Club, with Marla Maples and Angie Everhart. On

the big screen, she has starred in the Nickelodeon movie Good Burger with Saturday Night

Live’s Kenan Thompson, the critic acclaimed Love and basketball, Boom Box, CB4 and the

Robert Redford produced Grand Avenue. However, she is best known for playing “Niecy

Jackson” on the hit television series Moesha.

Winner of MTV’s Celebrity Rap Superstar Shar is a talented vocalist in her own right, Shar is in

the studio preparing for her upcoming album release. In addition to her busy schedule Shar

also manages the singing group “Pulse” featuring her eldest daughter, Cassie, is the lead

vocalist. The group chose the name Pulse to pay tribute to Shar’s former singing group from

the early 2000's, Mpulz.

A proud mother of four Shar has two younger children, daughter Kori age 12 and son Kaleb age

10 and two older children, son Donny and daughter Cassie. Adding to her successful acting

and producing credits, Shar is currently appearing on TV One’s Hollywood Diva’s and has

several productions in development.
